About

I ran an overlay team at the Pan-American games, LIMA 2019, that involved the design and construction of 11 PanAmerican sports venues, and 5 ParaPan American sports. The venues range in size from a 20,000-person football stadium to a 2,000-person temporary beach volleyball site located on the Pacific Coast. I have also worked on the design and construction of 13 temporary sports venues for the London 2012 Olympic Games. I also worked on the 2015 European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. Baku, Lima and London games were hugely successful, with the design parts delivered on time and to budget.

Along with my games experience, I have also worked in design and construction of permanent buildings in multiple countries, including UK, Ireland and the US. I worked on stadiums, housing, arenas, space planning and interior design. This wide-ranging experience provides me with a skillset that is readily transferrable to any type of large events requiring permanent or temporary construction. My experience in Paralympic games gives me important experience in the particular design requirements related to accessibility. Much of the work on these games involved overlay, the temporary conversion of event spaces to specific use. This set of skills is easily adaptable outside of the sports and events world.

I ran a team where all knowledge is shared and where ideas are discussed and explored to build consensus. We worked together to deliver the Lima 2019 games, and I would look forward to bringing this ethos to any future teams that I am a part of.
